Advantages

Features

Reduces capital costs.

Low energy costs.

You can produce alcohol of the quality “Wheat Tear” or higher on a 4-column brew-distillation plant.

Each of the four columns is specially designed for this.

Allows to produce alcohol of “Wheat Tear” quality or higher by the steam process, which costs up to 2 kg per 1 liter of alcohol.

We applied our “Multi-steam” technology:

– columns operate in multypressure mode;

– multiple use of the energy of heating steam and products;

– increased efficiency of contact devices.

The installation has a service life of at least 10 years in aggressive environments.

High organoleptic parameters of alcohol.

Strength at operating conditions in pressure-vacuum modes.

The equipment has a special design and is made of stainless steel AISI 316L * with copper contact elements.

Stable product quality. One operator on shift.

Complete automation of the production process.

Ability to recycle production waste into automotive fuel

Energy integrated dewatering unit for bioethanol production (PSA**) on molecular sieves – the option.

Ability to produce DDG*** and biogas.

Energy integrated bard disposal unit – the option.

* AISI 316L – this steel grade is the most corrosive- and chemical-resistant of the entire 300 series.
** PSA is a pressure swing adsorption technology.
*** DDG – feed for livestock and poultry with a protein content of ~ 30%.

To create alcohol production, we do the following:

  • We conduct a pre-design study of future production (Feasibility study)
  • Determine the main technical and economic indicators
  • We calculate all material and energy flows
  • Develop equipment specifications and requirements
  • We order the production of equipment and monitor its manufacture
  • We develop control and automation schemes for production processes
  • We install equipment and automation systems
  • We control the commissioning of plants into commercial operation
  • Educate staff in process management at the plant

ETHYL ALCOHOL – ITS CLEANING AND THE TECHNOLOGY

Ethyl alcohol is a colorless liquid with a specific smell and burning taste. It is also called ethanol, methyl carbinol and wine alcohol. It is very hygroscopic and it can be mixed with water in any ratio. In that case, the mixture is heated and reduced in volume. Industrial nutritional alcohol is produced in the form of a highly concentrated water solution.

Ethyl alcohol, even with the most thorough purification during production, contains a small amount of various impurities – esters, aldehydes, other alcohols, etc. This gives it a specific smell. It also dissolves a lot of organic matter.
In the food industry, alcohol is produced from starch-containing products and those, that are containing sugar. This is grain, potatoes, molasses and rarely sugar beets. As a result of biochemical processing, they are converted into alcohol-containing brew. Ethyl alcohol raw is produced from it, which is used for technical purposes or processed into rectified alcohol of good quality. Each type of alcohol has its own tasting marks in points. For example, alcohol of the first grade – 8.5, but the alcohol Lux – 9.5, Extra – 9.3.

Rectification is a complex multiple process of distillation in the countercurrent of steam and liquid in special devices – rectification columns. This allows you to separate mixtures of volatile substances into pure components. “Agrotechnology” has developed energy-saving technologies and equipment to produce the cleanest food alcohol – Lux and Wheat Tear.

Wheat tear today is the highest category of alcohol purification in Ukraine according to state standards – DSTU 4221:2003 “Rectified ethyl alcohol. Technical specifications. ”
Historically, Ukraine can produce the cleanest alcohol in the world. This is due to the fact, that in the USSR and even earlier on these territories, fermentation technologies developed precisely in the direction of vodka production. Western countries have always preferred distillates like brandy, whiskey, bourbon, grappa or calvados. That is why in other countries food alcohol was not produced. They do have distilleries for the needs of medicine, chemical industry and pharmaceuticals, they also produce vodka. However, its amount is very small compared to Ukraine during the Soviet era – 73 distilleries. They usualy decided to build a distillery in Ukraine. It has always been a breadbasket for the Soviet Union and remains it for the whole world, because there are available raw materials for distilleries: wheat, corn, molasses.

73 distilleries worked for the entire socialist camp. And these are not only factories – they are specialists, their training, design institutes, engineering enterprises, a constant connection between science and production. Exactly this connection makes Agrotechnology unique. Its founder is the son of Professor P. S. Tsygankov, who spent his life building Soviet distilleries, Sergey Tsygankov. He is a Doctor of Technical Sciences and the author of books on the technology of alcohol production and wastewater treatment, in particular – the disposal of bard. He is also the chief engineer, who has been building and re-equipping distilleries for 20 years. With the help of “Agrotechnology” it is possible now to make alcohol production modern in terms of energy consumption, to establish a waste-free production cycle and to grow technologically.

PRIVATIZATION OF “UKRSPYRT.” BUY А DISTILLERY

The planned economy of the USSR and the inefficient usage of factories caused a high energy intensity of alcohol, and, therefore, its high cost. The inability to work with waste (bard) led to pollution of the territories. In Europe, the energy component in the cost of food alcohol is three times less than in Ukrainian factories. Bard and carbon dioxide from waste have become a source of additional profits.

So, there are opportunities and there is something to correct. Especially, when you consider that the privatization of “Ukrspyrt” has begun in Ukraine. This is still a state-owned enterprise – a monopolist, which has 41 alcohol factories. In addition, there is also the “Ukrspyrt” concern. Parliament voted, the demonopolization of food alcohol production has already begun. This means, that enterprises of all forms of ownership will be able to produce it. Moreover, the government is going to privatize all the plants. So, you can buy a distillery.

Free competition and private factory management will bring:

  1. Modern technologies of alcohol production. Equipment for the production of alcohol, which mostly is at the distilleries now. These are technologies of the 50-60s,  each new owner will need a reconstruction of the distillery. And these are new opportunities for processing raw materials and reducing cost
  2. Quality alcohol – vodka will be cheaper and better. Modernization of distilleries will give rise to new competition
  3. Price-quality indicator will open export potential
  4. V2V. Investors will invest in modernization and spend money in Ukraine. There are enterprises producing good equipment for distilleries.
  5. And the most important – the technology of alcohol production. They are in Ukraine right now. “Agrotechnology” did not forget the traditions of production of past generations, at the same time strengthened them with the help of modern world experience.

This foundation will be effectively used for the development of energy-saving technologies, and both the cleanest alcohol and vodka of the highest quality will be produced.

It is at these sites, which are not currently used by “Ukrspyrt”, that it is possible to deploy new modern production facilities.

A modern alcohol plant is an enterprise with a high level of automation of all technological processes. This is due not only to the need to increase labor efficiency, but also to minimize the impact of the human factor on the quality of the final product.
Currently, there are two main technologies for producing ethanol: fermentation (microbiological method) and ethylene hydration (synthetic). Ethyl alcohol has a wide scope of application: the production of alcoholic beverages, medicine, chemical industry. Recently, ethanol has been talked about as a fuel. In such cases, the used term is bioethanol.

The very existence of this grand alcohol cluster in Ukraine laid the foundation of knowledge and created traditions of quality – the alcohol school of Ukraine. Bioethanol technologies, waste disposal, energy efficiency have grown on this foundation.
